Screenings and sand 0–5 / 0–10 mm
Crushing granite leaves a fine fraction — screenings. It is a full-fledged construction sand: class II, fineness modulus 3.59. It is used for paving slabs, ceramics, paths, yards and mortars.

Screenings or river sand
Granite screenings are a crushed material with angular grains: they bind better in the bedding under paving and do not "creep" the way rounded sand does. A fineness modulus of 3.59 means coarse sand, good for concrete and bases.
For fill and grading where purity does not matter, there is inexpensive sand with impurities.
